Nellore Beaches on Google Maps (Simhapuri Tourism Circuit)

SPSR Nellore district has about 170 KM coastal line by the Bay of Bengal and is blessed with a good number of beautiful beaches. Most of these beaches are under developed in terms of facilities for tourists. That is a blessing in disguise as these beaches are unpolluted, uncrowded and clean. Krishnapatnam, Ramayapatnam, Ramatheertham, Katepalli, Kotha Koduru, Mypadu, Muttukuru and Tupilipalem beaches are some of the noted beaches in and around Nellore.

Mypadu Beach

Mypadu beach is the most famous among the tourists to Nellore. It is 25 KM away from Nellore. Many buses are available from Nellore. A quite and peaceful beach with good amount of greenery around. Accommodation is available in AP Tourism’s Haritha Hotel near the beach.

Koduru Beach

This beautiful beach is located about 18 KM from Nellore. Plenty of buses are available from Nellore. You can find fish delicacies in small stalls on the beach. Velangani Mata Church on the shore is also famous here.

Tupilipalem Beach

A world class beach with memorable sunrise and sunsets. About 80 KM from Nellore. Buses are available from Nellore and Kota or Vakadu. Guest house and boating facility available.

Katepalli Beach

This beach is located near Varakavipudi Village., just about 20 KM from Nellore. It is said to be very clean and beautiful. Popular among locals for samudra snanam (sea bathing) on festive occassions. Buses are available from Nellore to Varakavipudi.

Sand art in memory of Kedarnath victims

Mr Bandaru Srinivas, the sand artist, paid tribute to Kedarnath victims in the form of a sand art on Kotha Koduru beach in SPSR Nellore district. The art piece depicted the Kedarnath temple in flood waters in which Siva and his devotees were being swept away.
